Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned athlete …we have a workout for you! CrossFit classes produce elite results by effectively combining powerlifting, gymnastics, running, rowing and other functional fitness movements.
7th July Rachel Rollo – PhD Candidate at UQ
Rachel is working on a project aimed at finding a potential alternative treatment to Tuberculosis, as current TB treatment is expensive, long, and often inaccessible to those most in need of it. Rachel has been accepted to present a poster on her work, at an international TB conference in Paris, in September.
14th July Ross Pitt – Rotary Club of Toowong (RCT)
RCT is an organisation of 50 business and professional people united worldwide who encourage high ethical standards in vocations, provide humanitarian and local community support, and seek to promote peace and goodwill in the world. Ross will explain the benefits of involvement of Rotary Clubs in various projects.

We run Sausage Sizzles throughout the year at various locations, to raise funds to support the work we do locally, nationally and internationally. As dates of these sausage sizzles become known we will add them below.

BRISBANE KITE FESTIVAL
Brisbane Kite Festival has been postponed to Sunday 21 August 2022, from 10am to 3pm at Murarrie Recreation Park, Wynnum Rd Cannon Hill. There will be food stalls, rides, kite workshops, kite stalls and lots of space for flying your kites! Last year, the weather was perfect and many people attended and enjoyed the day. Brisbane Kite Festival is run by the Rotary Clubs of Carindale and Balmoral in conjunction with Brisbane City Council, with support from Kites Queensland. We hope to see you there again this year.

ADOPT A ROAD
Our club has “adopted” a 3km section of Creek Road, from Gallipoli Road/Donnington St in Carindale to Fursden Road in Carina. Four times a year, members don hi-vis vests, gloves, hats, sunscreen, and protective footwear, and venture out at 7am to pick up rubbish from the footpaths and grass verges on both sides of the road.
